Mr Rod Fehring

Rod Fehring is the Chairman of the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute, commencing this position in March 2008.

Rod has more than 25 years experience in the property sector in a variety of senior roles.

Rod was appointed Chief Executive Officer Lend Lease Ventures in May 2007 after nearly 6 years as Chief Executive Officer of Lend Lease’s development businesses in Australia consisting of Delfin, Lend Lease Development and Retirement by Design.

In the role of Chief Executive Officer Lend Lease Ventures, Rod is responsible for working with all Lend Lease businesses to identify new and emerging technologies capable of driving new growth and positioning Lend Lease at the forefront of the property and construction industry, as a leader in sustainable development practices.

Rod’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science and Graduate Diplomas in both Urban and Regional Planning and Sports Administration (Facilities), while he has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School, Philadelphia, USA. In addition, Rod is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia and was Trustee of the Melbourne Cricket Ground Trust, which concluded in December 2007.
