Mr William Kirkby-Jones AM
William Kirkby-Jones holds the position of Chairman or Director on a number of Company Boards including the Land Development Agency (ACT), Landcom Corporation (NSW), Amber Group Australia Limited, Austcorp Group Limited and OZ Design Furniture Pty Limited.
Mr Kirkby-Jones was for nine years the founding Managing Director of the Defence Housing Authority, a Commonwealth Government Business Enterprise responsible for the provision of some 25,000 dwellings throughout Australia for Service men and women. He was the Managing Director of the Housing Industry Association (1976 to 1987).
Mr Kirkby-Jones served as a commissioned officer in the Royal Australian Armoured Corps and later took up a commercial career and has extensive general management experience both within Australia and overseas. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Institute of Management.
In 1992 Mr Kirkby-Jones was the winner of the Sir Phillip Lynch Award. In the same year he was made a Member of the Order of Australia. In 1995 he was a winner of the Returned Servicemen League's "Anzac of the Year" Award.
