Dr Debbie Faulkner
Dr Debbie Faulkner is a Research Fellow in the School of Geography, Population and Environmental Management at Flinders University and Director of the AHURI Southern Research Centre. She has a PhD in Geography from Adelaide University, a Master of Arts from Finders University and a BA (Hons.) from Flinders University.
Dr Faulkner has worked in a number of research positions at Flinders University the University of South Australia and at the Centre for Ageing Studies. From 2005 to 2007 Dr Faulkner had a major role in AHURI's National Research Venture 2: 21st Century Housing Careers and Australia's Housing Future. She has worked on a range of projects analyzing fertility, mortality and population change.
She has also worked in the field of disability and housing and has specific expertise in housing and the older population in Australia and ageing in place. Dr Faulkner has completed work for a range of government departments, for local government, non-government organisations and the World Health Organisation.
