Dr Steven Rowley

Dr Steven Rowley is Director of the AHURI Western Australia Research Centre at Curtin University. He joined Curtin's School of Economics and Finance in July 2007 from the Department of Town and Regional Planning, Sheffield University.

While working in the UK, Steven delivered a number of influential research projects on planning and affordable housing. Since moving to Australia, he has worked on AHURI projects examining housing market dynamics in resource boom towns and the drivers of housing markets in rural Australia.

Dr Rowley has published in the fields of planning, property development, valuation/investment and housing. He teaches property economics, development and market analysis to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
