National Housing Conference

The National Housing Conference is a biennial conference co-hosted by the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute. It is considered the leading national housing meeting in Australia, and its aim is to provide a platform for sharing, debating and promoting ideas in housing research, policy and practice.

The conference rotates around Australia every two years and is co-hosted each time by AHURI and a different state or territory housing department. It's a must for anyone involved in Australia’s housing policy and practice, including policy-makers, housing and allied service providers, tenants, the private sector, researchers, planners and not-for-profit housing and homelessness organisations.

There have been six previous National Housing Conferences held in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2009.
