National Cities Performance Framework Interim Report released

AHURI advises on framework that will measure cities' performance

26 July 2017

The Federal Government has released its National Cities Performance Framework Interim Report, with AHURI contributing to the development of the report through Executive Director Dr Ian Winter’s advisory role on the Cities Reference Group.

The National Cities Performance Framework will measure the performance of Australia's largest cities bringing together a mass of critical data in an easily accessible online format. Users will be able to track the performance of cities in a number of key measures: jobs and skills; infrastructure and investment; liveability and sustainability; innovation and digital opportunities; governance, planning and regulation; and housing.

As a member of the Cities Reference Group, Dr Winter was part of the team that advised Government in its decisions about what the Framework might include.

The Government is seeking public input on the Interim Report, which will inform the development of the final National Cities Performance Framework Report and a National Cities Performance Framework Online Dashboard to be released later in 2017.
