National Community Housing Forum
The National Community Housing Forum is a not for profit community based organization. The Forum’s mission is to engage key national community housing stakeholders – government and non government - in developing a long term strategic vision for community housing in Australia.
Community Housing Federation of Australia
CHFA is the national peak organisation representing the views of community housing providers in Australia. The web page provides: links to a clearinghouse of electronic documents, access to a forum for members, information on the community housing sector, internet resources links, and information on current projects being undertaken for the community housing sector.
Australian Council of Social Service
The Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) is the peak council of the community services and welfare sector. Established in 1956, ACOSS is the national voice for the needs of people affected by poverty and inequality.
Shelter NSW
Shelter NSW advocates for the interests of people disadvantaged in housing markets, and builds the capacity of non-profit organizations to provide housing services and strengthen communities. The Affordable Housing Network and NESB Housing Taskforce web pages can also be found attached to the Shelter NSW site.
Shelter TAS
Shelter Tasmania is an independent community organisation committed to the principle of accessible, affordable, appropriate and secure housing for every person and the elimination of homelessness.
Queensland Shelter
Queensland Shelter is a Community Based Peak Organisation which promotes improved access to housing for all Queenslanders. Queensland Shelter represents a range of housing issues to government and industry, including; affordable housing, homelessness, caravan park closures, community and social housing and improved access to the private rental market.
Shelter WA
Shelter WA is an independent community based peak body committed to the principle of accessible, affordable, appropriate and secure housing for every person. Shelter WA focuses on people who have low incomes or who are otherwise disadvantaged in the housing market. This includes people who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness.
