Cameron's doctoral research is an ethnographic study of the day-to-day lives and identities of people who are homeless and living in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The focus is people who are literally without shelter—those sleeping on the streets, in tents or abandoned buildings. These people are commonly referred to as sleeping rough.
