Chief Executive Officer, Summer Foundation
Luke has worked with the Summer Foundation since 2016. He was previously the foundation’s Head of Policy and Strategy, leading the organisation’s work to develop housing for people with disability using NDIS funding. Appointed CEO in April 2018, Luke continues to be responsible for managing relationships with government stakeholders and communicating the findings of Summer Foundation’s work in order to influence government policy in relation to young people living in nursing homes.
Luke was intimately involved in the development of the NDIS, working extensively on scheme’s design and housing policy in his roles as a Director at the National Disability Insurance Agency and advisor at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
Luke’s disability sector experiences include three years working in residential disability services, including government and non-government run supported accommodation.
Luke has recently completed a Fulbright Scholarship at New York University’s Center for Urban Policy focusing on affordable housing and social finance, where he also earned a Master of Public Administration.
