Professor Kath Hulse
Professor of Housing Studies, Centre for Urban Transitions, Swinburne University
Kath Hulse is Professor of Housing Studies at Swinburne University’s Centre for Urban Transitions. Kath led a recently concluded AHURI Inquiry into The Future of the Private Rental Sector involving Swinburne, UNSW Sydney and Curtin Universities. She researches and publishes on a broad range of contemporary issues which currently include housing market dynamics, changes in home ownership, the rise of private renting, spatial patterns of socio-economic disadvantage and sustainable home renovations.
Prior to her academic career, Kath worked as a senior executive in policy, planning and operations in government and also has extensive experience as a Director on the board of not for profit companies.
