Description: The paper's primary aims are to: 1. identify and examine the current state and attributes of asset management practices applicable to social housing in Australia; 2. discuss the key asset management issues and questions arising from international experience with social housing asset management; 3. identify the set of characteristics associated with best practice applied to social housing asset management in Australia; and 4. review the literature and policy debates as they relate to the topics that emerge from each of the above objectives.
