Dr Tamlin Gorter

Tamlin is Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives at AHURI, a role which focuses on informing and influencing cities policy in Australia.

Tamlin is a social scientist, specialising in housing and urban research and policy. From 2014–2019 she undertook a PhD with the Housing and Community Research Unit at the University of Tasmania. Her research focused on the housing experiences of families living in urban Australia.

She was the manager of AHURI’s National Housing Research Program from 2009–14, responsible for the development of the annual research agenda, and management of research contracts, quality assurance and policy management processes.

Her research interests also include indigenous housing policy and homelessness.

She also works across the organisation, supporting activities related to the National Housing Research Program, AHURI's Professional Services and the AHURI national events program
