Dr Edgar Liu, Senior Research Fellow, UNSW Sydney’s City Futures Research Centre
Dr Edgar Liu is a Senior Research Fellow at UNSW Sydney’s City Futures Research Centre. He has background in human geography, and has strong research interest in the social impacts of housing, particularly non-shelter outcomes, people-place connections, service accessibility, and population wellbeing. He is especially interested in how evidence from lived experience influence policy-making and improve peoples’ lives. His body of work spans people-based outcomes of Australia’s housing renewal programs; the development and management of Australia’s social housing sector; broader structural, political and social impacts on living arrangements and household formations; ageing in place and housing for an ageing population; and energy poverty and deprivation.
