  4. Commuting burden and housing affordability for low-income renters

Author(s): Jago Dodson; Tiebei Li; Elizabeth Taylor; Xavier Goldie

Description: This study investigated the impacts commuting costs have on accessing employment for low income workers who are renting their home. Policy makers have concerns that housing market pressures may limit where low income workers can afford to live, and may result in low-income workers living in locations remote from employment concentrations, leading to weaker worker-job matching, less efficient labour markets and workers being excluded from employment opportunities.

  7. ‘A pathway to where?’ Inquiry into understanding and reimagining social housing pathways

Author(s): Kristy Muir; Abigail Powell; Kathleen Flanagan; Wendy Stone; Selina Tually; Debbie Faulkner; Chris Hartley; Hal Pawson

Social housing pathways are the housing experiences of tenants and their households over time and space.
