AHURI partners with Q Shelter for Community Rent Scheme Evaluation

The evaluation will inform the future operating model for community housing programs across Queensland

17 Jan 2019

AHURI and Q Shelter are partnering to undertake an evaluation of the Community Rent Scheme (CRS) program.
The CRS is a housing assistance program funded by the Queensland Government through the Department of Housing and Public Works. The CRS provides funding to registered community housing providers to deliver transitional housing to very high or high needs people on the housing register. The outcomes of the evaluation will inform the future operating model for community housing programs across the state.

The evaluation includes state-wide targeted consultation with CRS providers, referral networks, support providers, the real estate industry and departmental officers, as well as clients. Consultation will commence late January with contact being made with stakeholders in December and early January.
