Wrap up of the 2019 National Housing Conference
The National Housing Conference 2019 held in Darwin (27 to 30 August) to a sold-out audience of more than 1,100 delegates presented a jam packed, informative program; incredible insights into Indigenous culture in the NT and beyond, and a series of memorable networking events in some of Darwin’s most iconic locations.
Infrastructure Australia recognises social housing as key infrastructure
Infrastructure Australia has released the Australian Infrastructure Audit 2019, which, for the first time, has expanded to cover the challenges and opportunities in providing Australia’s social infrastructure. As part of this new development, the Audit includes a necessary focus on social housing as an important part of social infrastructure.
AHURI research explores South Australian housing futures
The number of South Australian households currently renting in the private market and facing high housing costs is predicted to grow by between 6 and 7.5 per cent over the next five years, rising to approximately 60,000 households by 2014, according to a new report commissioned by the South Australian Housing Authority and completed by AHURI’s Professional Services team and its university partner, the University of Adelaide.
