Kerren Crosthwaite

Kerren Crosthwaite is the First Assistant Secretary of Housing Division at the Commonwealth Treasury. Her Division provides housing policy advice to the Minister for Housing and the Treasurer, and develops, designs and delivers housing policies and programs including the Housing Australia Future Fund and the National Housing Accord.
Prior to her current role, Kerren led the Net Zero Economy Taskforce in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Before that, she was responsible for drought and farm financial policy and programs at the Department of Agriculture, including delivering the $5bn Future Drought Fund, the Regional Investment Corporation, Farm Household Allowance, and the Rural Financial Counselling Service.
Since moving to Canberra from Perth as a graduate in 2003, Kerren has held leadership roles in a number of Australian Government agencies in both Canberra and Perth, including the Department of Finance, the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, and the Fair Work Ombudsman. She holds bachelor degrees in Law and Economics, and a Master of Public Policy and Management.
